Winter 2012 Dear Friend,   The old calendar is gone and replaced. We have moved into the New Year 2012.  There are those who speculate that this will be our last year, but I doubt it. Anyway, the only thing that makes sense to me is to live one year at a time.  So I hope 2012 is a year of Miracles and Mysticism for you and for me.  In the text of A Course in Miracles, a miracle is defined as anything that points us in the direction of God.  People of today’s younger generation use the initials OMG to reference an “Oh My God” experience.  I hear the term a lot and I like it.  I’m taking it to mean they are realizing God’s presence over and over again. Yeah, kids!   Mysticism goes hand in hand with miracles.  It is a way of knowing or seeing outside the realm of the ego mind.  The ego is the part of consciousness that often lives in fear and sees life only in terms of physical cause and effect and human capabilities.  A mystic, on the other hand, operates on a different level and has a personal union and communication with the divine.  Mystics find answers and direction though intuition and revelation rather than limiting possibility through only rational thought. OMG!   Calling yourself miraculous or mystical is not always a wise decision in mixed company. Traditional thought says that only . . . MORE (click here)
